Incisional Hernia

Incisional hernias are an unfortunate outcome of surgery for all sorts of different reasons. Like each individual patient, no two incisional hernias are the same. That is why Professor Gundara will take time to discuss your past history and examine the area in detail. Additional investigations may be requested (eg. CT scans) in order to fully understand the problem. A tailored surgical approach will then be formulated to address the unique aspects of each individual case. While surgery is the cornerstone of management, there are a multitude of patient related factors that can also be addressed to assist with a good outcome. Professor Gundara will take time to discuss this with you.
